Loading ...The Romanian FOB export to the European Union member states will account for 75 percent of the total foreign trade by 2013, according to the preliminary autumn prognosis on the medium-term, 2007 – 2013, worked out by the National Commission for Prognosis. (CNP).
The proportion of the Romanian products' export to the EU will grow constantly in the next five years, from 68.9 percent this year to 70.6 percent in 2008, then to 71.9 percent in 2009, 73 percent in 2010, 73.8 percent in 2011, 74.5 percent in 2012 and 75 percent in 2013.

The National Commission for Prognosis has revised upwards the estimates referring the Romanian trade deficit by 2013, namely from 38.44 billion euros, as per the final spring prognosis on the medium-term, to 43.95 billion euros in the autumn preliminary version.
The CNP anticipates Romania will make FOB exports worth 65.8 billion euros and CIF imports worth 109.75 billion euros by 2013, up from 66 billion euros and from 104.44 billion euros respectively as per the spring version of the prognosis.
CNP forecasts a deficit of 21.66 billion euros this year (up from 19.58 billion euros as per the previous prognosis), amid exports worth 29.8 billion euros and imports at 51.46 billion euros. The Romanian foreign trade with the EU states will record 12.66 billion euros in deficit, with exports being put at 20.53 billion euros and imports at 33.19 billion euros.
The Romanian trade gap next year might attain 25.88 billion euros, to go up to 29.96 billion euros in 2009, to 33.97 billion euros in 2010, to 37.52 billion euros in 2011 and reaching 41 billion euros in 2012.
