The 37 companies that bought the documentation are KHNP – South Korea, RWE Power – Germany, ANSALDO AECL – Italy, Electrabel – Belgium, AFEN – Romania, ENEL – Italia, ALRO – Romania, Electrica – Romania, EGL – Romania, Unit International – Luxembourg, BRD – Romania, Mittal Steel – Romania, Gabriel Resources – Canada, CEZ-Czech Republic, Lafarge – Romania, Energy Holding – Romania, MVM – Hungary, Tenaris Silcotub – Romania, Iberdrola – Spain, ERBE – Hungary, BNP PARIBAS – France, Property Fund – Romania, Ratia – Switzerland, SNC Lavalin – Canada, Axor Europa – Romania, Eviva Energy Romania, ROMIB – Romania, Tess Conex – Romania, Endesa – Spain, EGL Switzerland, Rompetrol Group Holland, Elcomex IEA Romania, Proconex Unversal Romania, Grivco Romania, Tender Romania, Vulcan International Austria and ISPE Romania.
The strategy manager of Nuclearelectrica, Ioan Rotaru, said the company would be chosen in early 2009. The making of Unit 3 will start in mid-2009 and the works on Unit 4 will start in 2010.
Unit 3 will start operations in October 2014, while Unit 4 – in May 2015.
