Loading ...President Traian Basescu expressed, within the meeting in Cotroceni Palace with Jozias van Aartsen, European Commission's coordinator for the construction of 'Nabucco' gas pipeline, full support of the Romanian authorities for the European official's efforts, aimed at materialization of this objective.
'The talks were focused on the establishment of a cooperation framework between the Romanian authorities and the European coordinator as regards the implementation of Nabucco project. As well, President Basescu underlined that Romania pays an utmost importance to this project of diversification of the gas supply routes to the European Union space', the Presidential Administration emphasizes in a release remitted on Thursday to Rompres Agency.
Other themes of interest were approached during this meeting, including cooperation links with the states in Central Asia, Caspic Sea region and Middle East that supplies natural gas, as well as other natural gas transport projects linking the Black Sea region to the EU space.
