Loading ...Plastic piping maker Valrom, part of Romstal group, announced that in the next three years it will invest some 30 million euros in a new production unit situated at Topoloveni, Arges county (southern Romania).
The plant will be commissioned early in 2009 and will become fully operational in 2012, president of Romstal group Enrico Perini told daily Business Standard.
On the other hand, by the end of this year, the company will commission a production unit in Bucharest on an investment worth 5 million euros. For the beginning of next year, Perini announced the intention to open another plant in southern Bucharest for which it planned investments worth 17 million euros for the upcoming three years. Romstal group will earmark 52 million euros for the building of the new plants.
The group has so far held three production units in Romania: one through Valrom, specialising in the production of plastic piping, through Valplast Industries, producer of plastic pipes and insulated fittings. The third plant, Belform Prod produces and sells hydro-massage tubs.
For this year, Romstal aims to report 100 million euros in turnover from production. In the first eight months of the year the cumulated turnover of Valrom, Valplast and Belform Prod was of some 68 million euros, up 54 percent as against the same period one year ago, according to figures supplied by the group.
In 2006, the three plants reported cumulated turnover worth 67 million euros. Whereas Valrom reported the biggest turnover, namely 51.5 million euros, Valplast reported the highest rises (56 percent). The third company of Rompstal group, Belform Prod, posted a turnover of 2.5 million euros in 2006.
Romstal group’s turnover one year ago reached 310 million euros.
