Loading ...President Traian Basescu said on Sunday, in Cluj-Napoca, 406 km north-west of Bucharest, that he cannot show solidarity with a government influenced by (businessman, e.n) Dinu Patriciu, or which, like a dilettante, tarnishes Romania's foreign image.
'I have often been reproached with lack of solidarity with the Government or Parliament. I can no longer show solidarity with this political class, which generates and supports a minority government. I cannot show solidarity with a government whose decisions are influenced by Dinu Patriciu, with a government led by a prime minister, who, in order to defend his friends, gets involved in influence peddling with the Justice minister, the prosecutor general, and without shame tries it even with the president, ' Traian Basescu told a press conference.
Basescu said he cannot feel solidarity with a government issuing emergency ordinances in order to defend five ministers prosecutors have doubts about, in his opinion, with so many members having to be questioned by the prosecutor, the Cabinet must have gone beyond the limits that he can accept.
Basescu said that majority single vote, in two ballots, can solve the problem, in the sense that the political class can get fresher, valuable people can appear before the voters, and strong governments will result.
