Loading ...Primary energy resources, as well as electrical energy ones declined over January 1 – November 31, 2007 compared to the same period of 2006 by 1.1 percent, respectively 2.7 percent, according to data provided by the National Statistics Institute (INS).
Main primary energy resources over the examined period totalled 37.489 million tons oil equivalent (tep), a reduction of 428,700 tep, respectively 1.1 percent from the similar period of previous year.
Domestic production stood at 21.974 million tep, showing a drop (minus 0.5 percent) from the same period of previous year, and imports stood at 15.515 million tep, a two percent drop.
Electrical energy resources over January – November 2007 stood at 55.78 billion KWh, a reduction of 1.53 billion KWh (minus 2.7 percent) from the same period of 2006. The reduction in electrical energy resources was due to a decline in production by 1.79 billion KWh (minus 3.2 percent).
Hydro-power stations’ production dropped by 2.85 billion KWh (minus 16.6 percent) and the one produced by thermal power stations and nuclear power stations increased by 2.5 billion KWh (plus 0.7 percent), respectively 814 million KWh (plus 16 percent).
Final electricity consumption over the mentioned period stood at 46.28 billion KWh, 1 percent higher. Public lighting recorded a drop by 4.5 percent and population’s consumption increased by 6.5 percent.
Electricity exports recorded a reduction of 1.79 billion KWh, respectively 37.6 percent from the first 11 months of 2006.
