Loading ...PC Garage, the company that administers the namesake online store, estimates 2008 revenues of 18 million euros, on the rise versus the value recorded in 2007.
One year after its launch, in October 2005, the company had a number of 6,500 clients, and in 2007 it registered some 2.1 million single visitors.
“In 2007, the average value of a purchase stood at some 200 euros and expect the average value of an order to rise in 2008, once the consumers’ preferences migrate to mobile systems,” one of the PC Garage managers told Business Standard.
Last year, the company registered the biggest sales in the PC components category (memories and hard-disks), and notebooks will add to these products in 2008.
At end-2006, the company implemented an automated notification system through text message regarding the stage of the order. In order to receive text-message notifications, the client has to tick the respective option in the order process, and the system will announce the client when the order it taken over by a sales consultant of PC Garage. Moreover, when the order is ready to be delivered, the client is notified automatically through SMS.
The company has also a partnership with a card processor, and thus enables its clients to pay online, by card.
As to the trend of the local electronic trade market, the representatives of the companies estimate its value may reach 180 million euros in 2008.
