Loading ...Those who want to spend a nice holiday in the mountains in this season have the chance to pay less money, compared to the prices on Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
Traian Badulescu, a spokesperson with the National Association of Travel Agencies (ANAT) says the tariffs have come now to almost half the initial value, as the old price included also the meals on Christmas and New Year’s Eve, and rides with the sledge.
Mioara Stoian, the honorary president of the National Rural, Ecological and Cultural Tourism Agency (ANTREC) says that the boarding houses in the Brasov area (central Romania) have operated cuts in the prices by some 20 percent. Moreover, the offers at the tour operators are also cheaper now.
Those who are fans of the winter sports are attracted to the mountain resorts. The tourists continue to crowd the boarding houses on the Prahova Valley and in Poaian Brasov. The most attractive areas are the Bran-Moeciu, Rasnov, Prejmer, Sacele, Poiana Marului and Zarnesti.
During the week, the occupation rate is only reaching 10 percent, while in the week-end the boarding houses are almost full, with the occupation rate reaching up to 85 percent.
The accommodation units in the Brasov area have such tariffs between 50 and 150 lei per day all included. In the case of the children, the tariff is 50 lei per day, all included, while in the case of the adults the price varies between 70 and 100 lei per head per accommodation day, all included.
The Magic boarding house in the Harghita County had its prices cut by 40 percent in the case of the groups larger than 20 people for a four-day holiday, all included. The Colt de Rai boarding house, located 15 kilometres from Bran, offers a 10-percent cut in the accommodation price during the week, from Monday to Thursday, with the tariffs standing in fact at 120 lei per person per day, and with the tariff reaching 140 lei per person in the weekend.
