Fitch Ratings – four Romanian banks from “stable” to “negative”

Fitch Ratings revised on Friday the rating outlook granted to the Romanian lending institutions Romanian Comemrcial Bank (BCR), BRD Groupe Societe Generale, BancPost and UniCredit Tiriac, from "stabile" to "negative," after having reduced the country rating on January 31.
 
The ratings of the four banks, for long-term debts, were restated, at ‘A minus,’ the financial assessment agency said in a press release.
 
BCR has the rating "F2" for short-term lending in foreign currency, "1" for the support received from major shareholders and individual rating "C/D."
 
For BRD, the ratings are "F2" for short-term lending in foreign currency and "1" for support from the owner. BancPost ratings were restated at the same levels, except for the individual rating, which is "D."
 
Fitch has kept UniCredit Tiriac’s individual rating "D" under monitoring.
