Asesoft IT&C group of companies is targeting a 2008 business turnover in excess of 200 million euros, which would be 35 percent more than the 2007 turnover.
Asesoft CEO Sebastian Ghita says the group will focus this year on developing its IT business abroad, in countries such as Serbia, Macedonia, Bulgaria and Moldova.
According to Ghita, less than 10 percent of Asesoft’s turnover is currently generated by business abroad, but in 2010 the company’s turnover should reach 250 million euros and a 15-percent weight of exports in the total turnover. Asesoft is already operating in Serbia, with a system integration company.
Asesoft is also contemplating running in a tender for the implementation of a ship traffic monitoring on the Danube River to be held this year.
Asesoft is operating in IT&C product retailing, software development, information and telecommunications system integration. The group has a 1,500-strong staff, 1,000 of whom are IT specialists. Asesoft Distribution has planned to achieve a 90.8-million-euro turnover in 2008, up 30 percent from 2007.
