Loading ...The City Hall of Sibiu will present, March 5-9, the tourist offer of Sibiu at the International Fair in Berlin, the biggest tourism fair in Europe and one of the biggest in the world.
In the first three days, officials from Sibiu City Hall will try to convince tourism agencies from all over the world that Sibiu is a destination that should be a must in their offer. On Saturday and Sunday, the delegation will address the public at large, presenting the tourist offer of the area and the cultural offer of the city of Sibiu, by electronic informative materials.
"Sibiu’s participation in this fair has already become a tradition, notably as most of the city’s visitors are speaking German. The success of last year of the programme Sibiu – European Cultural Capital 2007 and the experience gained in the field of tourism have to be turned to good account.
So, this year, the offer of Sibiu will be much more concrete. Sibiu now has a good tourist infrastructure, the quality of the services has increased a lot, the offer has been diversified, " said Mayor Klaus Johannis. Last year, Sibiu contributed decisively to the rise in the number of foreigners who visited Romania. The European Cultural Capital drew last year almost one million tourists, most of them foreigners.
The city of Sibiu will be present at Romania’s pavilion at the International Fair in Berlin, organized by the Ministry for Small and Medium-Sized Companies, Trade, Tourism, and Liberal Trades. Romania’s pavilion will stretch over 600 sq m, placing emphasis, this year, on the promotion of the Danube Delta natural reserve and of active cultural tourism.
