NATO official will meet same day President Traian Basescu, the two going to give a press conference at the end of their meeting, at Cotroceni Palace.
Last visit paid to Bucharest by NATO Secretary General was in January this year, when Jaap de Hoop Scheffer met the Romanian authorities to review the stage of preparations for the Summit.
NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer is to open on Wednesday, in the first day of the Summit, the multimedia exhibition on the presentation of the fight against terrorism and after that he will take part in the Young Atlanticists Summit and in the 'Bucharest Conference' transatlantic forum, organized on the sidelines of the NATO Summit by the German Marshall Fund of the United States of America, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chatham House.
