Loading ...Sales of the Czech car brand Skoda on the local market went up 16.38 pct in the first four months of the year, compared with the same period of 2007, reaching 8,270 units; the best-selling model is Octavia, according to data from importer Porsche Romania.
The importer sold 3,515 Octavia cars in the first four months of the year, up 68.6 pct. During the same period, sales of the old generation model, Octavia Tour, went up 2.2 pct from 2,307 to 2,358 units. Octavia Tour ranks second in terms of four-month sales. Third is the B-segment model Fabia, with 2,015 cars sold over January-April, down 12.6 pct from the 2,307 units sold in the first four months of 2007.
Skoda’s sales in Romania went up 12.6 pct last year, to 23,138 vehicles. Skoda importer in Romania is Porsche Romania, a company that also imports Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Porsche and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. Last year, Porsche Romania sold 58,790 vehicles in all, up 35 pct against 2006.
