Lisbon Treaty must not be abandoned, PM Tariceanu says

Romania will voice in the European Council to be held on Thursday and Friday, in Brussels, that the European project must go on and the Lisbon Treaty must not be abandoned, although it was rejected through referendum in Ireland, PM Calin Popescu-Tariceanu informed his ministers on Wednesday at the start of the Government sitting.
 
'We hope a solution will be found for the continuation and successful finalization of the Treaty ratification process', the prime minister said, according to a release issued by the Government's press office.
 
The prime minister also mentioned the other topics that will be on the agenda of the summit – increase in farming and oil products, package of renewable energy, climatic chances and energy – saying Romania will present standpoints on this topics, the release reads.
