Between June 26-29, in Monaco, the 19th Annual Session of the Crans Montana Forum takes place, titled 'The New Role of the Mediterranean'. The Romanian Orthodox Church is represented by Most Rev. Iosif Pop, the Metropolitan of the Romanian Orthodox Metropolitanate of Occidental and Meridional Europe. The presence of His Grace at the event is justified by the variety of issues debated, in an environment dedicated mostly to economic themes.
This year's meeting includes debates on inter-religious dialogue – 'Dialogue between the Mediterranean Civilizations,' the woman's role in today's society – 'Women in Public Life,' and also the safety and preservation of the environment.
