Loading ...Distributor of central heating devices Baxi Romania expects this year a 66% rise in sales, to 30, 3 million RON, or 8.5 million euros, after it ended last year with a 16% drop in business.
The company posted in Q1 this year 8.3 million RON, or some 2.3 million euros, in turnover, up 43% from the same period last year.
"The general evolution of the company, that in the first half this year, has been due to switching from standard thermal equipment to that with increased energy efficiency, some of it based on renewable energy, with sun panels, " said general manager of the company Sever Scarlat.
Last year, the market of heating devices kept at the level in 2006, namely at 150,000-160,000 units, according to Baxi, which estimates a slight drop for this year.
"The drop in the demand of thermal equipment in the areas of old buildings, for apartments, for example, will be compensated by rises in sales in the segment of new dwellings. We don’t expect the market to rise in volume, the value of the market, instead, can increase slightly, due to the rise in the sale of heating devices based on renewable sources of energy," Scarlat also said.
