Loading ...CFR Calatori railway transport company posted turnover worth €285 million in the first half of the year, some 10% higher than in H1 2007, due to an increase in fares last September, said the company’s General Manager Alexandru Noaptes, as quoted by Business Standard.
CFR transported 39.36 million passengers in the first 6 months of the year, less than in the same time last year, due to limited circulation on some lines. The company plans to increase its market share and to invest in advertising campaigns and improving travel conditions.
Noaptes said that railway transport is accessible to a large number of clients. Regarding the possibility of high-speed trains in Romania, Noaptes said this could be discussed once railway infrastructure rehabilitation work is completed.
