There was a 5% increase in sales the second quarter, to $31 million.
Ranbaxy Laboratories, the largest drug producer in India, took over 96.7% of Terapia Cluj-Napoca shares, for $324 mln in March 2006 from Advent International investment fund, to expand its European market activity.
According to the Cegedim research company, Ranbaxy was seventh on the Romanian pharmaceutical market in the April 2007 – March 2008 period, with a 4.9% market share.
