Romaero switches back on profit

Romaero Bucharest (RORX), an aircraft maker and re-builder, managed to switch back on profit in the first half of the year, after significant losses recorded in the same interval last year, Ziarul financiar daily reads on August 22.
 
Romaero reported 38.9 million lei in mid-year turnover (10.6 million euros), that is an increase by 40% on the figures in the same interval last year. At the same time, he profit of the company stood at 112,000 lei (30,000 euros) as against the losses in the same interval last year, of more than 4.7 million lei (some 1.3 million euros).
 
The realization of profit came on the background of the favorable evolution of the total revenues compared with the expenditures. Thus, although Romaero’s expenditures advanced in the first six months of the year by some 5% as against the same interval last year, up to 53.2 million lei (14.5 million euros), revenues increased by more than 48%, up to 53.3 million lei (14.6 million euros).
 
The majority shareholder of Romaero is the National Authority for State Assets Recovery (AVAS) holding 51.9% in the company, while the Social Investment Compani (SUF) Muntenia and the Proprietatea Fund control 25.85 and 21% of the company’s share capital.
