Distrigaz Sud to invest some 500 mln euros in five years for network upgrading

Distrigaz Sud Co. is to invest 500 million euros in the upcoming five years for the extension and upgrading of the networks and technology development, announced on Tuesday September 16, in a press conference, Dan Pantilie, director general Distrigaz Sud Retele.
 
„The company is to invest some 100 million euros per year in the upcoming five years for the upgrading of 1,750 kilometers of network, plus investments into technologies, modernization of some regulation station and of the network, financing going to be provided by the mother company”, said Pantilie.
 
Company representatives also presented the new visual identity of Distrigaz Sud, at the merger between Gaz de France, which owns Distrigaz Sud and Suez groups.
Distrigaz Sud Co. reported in 2007 a net profit of 182 million lei, up some 16% compared to the previous year, when it stood at 157 million lei, according to the company data.
The turnover slightly advanced from 3.206 billion lei in 2006 to 3.215 billion lei last year.
