Five energy companies to invest some 8bn euro in 4 years

Nuclearelectrica, Hidroelectrica, Transelectrica, Transgaz and Romgaz will invest 7-8bn euro in the next 4 years, out of their own sources, Minister of Economy and Finance Varujan Vosganian told a September 24 press conference.
 
“Following the selection of the investors for the upgrading of the Termoelectrica power plants, this company will make investments of 3.5bn euro in the next 4 years”, mentioned Vosganian.
E.ON, Enel, Electrabel and CEZ have been designated the investors in three energy projects.
 
E.ON Germany and ENEL Italy were selected for the CET Braila project (east). They will invest 1bn euro in a project of 800 Megawatts. Electrabel was selected for a gas and steam station in Borzesti (east), in which it will invest 300 – 400 million euro. The station’s capacity stands at 400 Megawatts.
The Czech company CEZ will invest 360 million euro in the Galatim project (east), with a capacity of 400 Megawatts.
