Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Dacian Ciolos promised recently that next year producers of vegetables and fruits will be granted subsidies, in a first.
“From next year, we will support, function of the budget, also the farmers growing vegetables and fruits. They are small farmers, cultivating areas up to 3 ha, which will receive subsidies function of the cultivated area. Subsidies will be higher if the farmers make up associations,“ Ciolos said.
Currently, subsidies are given in agriculture only for animal breeders and for cultures of cereals and some other plants.
