Loading ...Romanian Government approved, on the occasion of its session on Wednesday, such measures to grant financial support to wine growers, observing thus the European Commission’s Regulation No. 479, as of 2008, on the common organisation in the EU of wine growing markets, reads a release on October 2 of the Executive’s Press Office.
To benefit from the financial support granted by the Government there will be such producers in the wine growing sector, both individuals and associations. The measure to grant financial support to the domestic wine growers was mainly aimed at supporting the promotion of the final product on third markets, at restructuring and reconverting of the vineyards, the ensuring of a good crop, the use of the concentrated must of grapes, investments, the first clear-up etc.
The financial support will be granted from the state budget via the budget of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR), with the payments to be operated starting with January 1, 2009, the Government’s release also mentions.
The Agency for Payments and Interventions in Agriculture (APIA) will be responsible with the management of such payments and also with the recovery of such undeserved amounts.

The methodological norms to be implemented for the financial support to reach beneficiaries in the wine growing sector, the conditions on which the financial support is to be granted in the case of each measures, the eligible expenditures, as well as the way in which the checking and controlling operations will be carried out are to be approved by an Order of the Minister of the Agriculture and Rural development.
