Loading ...FOB exports in the first eight months of 2008 stood at 82.442 billion lei (22.636 billion euro) and the CIF exports accounted for 135.570 billion lei (37.215 billion euro) according to preliminary estimations of the National Statistics Institute (INS).
Against the same period of 2007, exports went up 30.8% (in lei terms) and 18.3% (in euro terms) and imports went up 26.8% (values expressed in lei) and 14.6% (in euro terms).
The dynamics of the exports of goods topped the one of imports, over January-August 2008, and continued the upward trend that stared in December 2007.

FOB exports totalled 9.283 billion lei (2.618 billion euro) in August 2008 while CIF imports accounted for 15.362 billion lei (4.330 billion euro). Against August 2007, exports went up 29% (values in lei) and by 16.2% in euro terms, while imports went up 18.2% in lei terms and 6.4% in euro terms.
