Casa Auto Bucharest estimates it will sell in 2008 a total of 2,350 Mercedes, Jeep, Chrysler and Dodge cars, the company’s general manager Ioan Raducanu told.
Casa Auto Bucharest, part of Tiriac Auto, is the biggest sales and service centre of Mercedes-Benz in Romania, the company forecasts the Mercedes-Benz sales in 2008 will reach 2,100 units, out of which 690 cars and 1,410 utility vehicles, versus 550 cars and 650 utility vehicles sold last year.
Raducanu added the sales of luxury cars in Romanian rose January- September 2008 by 7% versus the same period of 2007 and there are no signs of decline, amid the 3% drop seen by the general car market.The dealer revised downwards the sale estimates for Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge from 300 units to 250 units. Raducanu says this revision was prompted by the appearance of two new dealerships in Bucharest that sell the three car makes – BDT and Autoklass.
The 2008 estimated turnover stands at 110 million euro, up 46% versus 2007.
The dealership holds Mercedes-Benz integrated complex in Bucharest, with showrooms and servicing stations. It sells Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge cars through another showroom in Bucharest.
Casa Auto Bucharest is investing 6.5 million euro in a new Mercedes Benz showroom, situated in northern Bucharest, and 10 million euro in a servicing station on the ring road.
