Most specialists voiced reservations about the opportunity of this integrated company, considered a step back in the development of the National Energy.
The Government has set up recently the National Energy Company, which will be called Electrica, and which will include Hidroelectrica, Electrica and energy complexes Rovinari and Turceni. The new company will have an installed total capacity of some 10,000 MGW and it will be listed on the stock market when it is ready for this step. The effective start of this project will be given after the publication in the Official Gazette of the Emergency Ordinance and after the Competition Council gives the go-ahead.
