Over the mentioned period, Romania imported a quantity of power, of 12.639 TEP, 0.6% more than over January-September 2007.
In the first three quarters, electricity resources stood at more than 48.952 billion KWh, a growth of 3.942 billion KWh (plus 8.8%) from the similar period in 2007. Electricity resource growth was mainly due to a higher output, of 4.357 billion KWh (plus 9.9%).
Final electricity consumption in this period stood at 39.684 billion KWh, 5.1% higher compared to the similar period last year. Public lighting recorded a jump of 9.5% and population’s consumption advanced by 5.3%.
Electricity export surged by 1.61 billion KWh, respectively by 69.5%.
