Primary energy resources and those of electricity increased from the same period of the previous year by 2%, respectively 8.8%, totalling 30.927 million TEP (plus 606,700 TEP).
In the first three quarters, electricity resources stood at more than 48.952 billion KWh, a growth of 3.942 billion KWh (plus 8.8%) from the similar period in 2007. Electricity resource growth was mainly due to a higher output, of 4.357 billion KWh (plus 9.9%).

Thermal power stations delivered output declined by 1.656 billion KWh (minus 5.9%). Hydropower stations output and the one delivered by the nuclear power stations rose by 2.345 billion KWh (plus 20.6%) respectively 3.669 billion KWh (plus 82.5%).
Final electricity consumption in this period stood at 39.684 billion KWh, 5.1% higher compared to the similar period last year. Public lighting recorded a jump of 9.5% and population’s consumption advanced by 5.3%.
Electricity export surged by 1.61 billion KWh, respectively by 69.5%.
