China Investment Promotion Agency is to open a representation for Eastern Europe and the Balkans in Bucharest, announced vice-president of Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIB) Nicolae Vasile, according to a CCIB release.
CCIB representatives have met a Chinese delegation headed by vice-president of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences from Hubei Province Dazhao Yu.
CCIB plans to cooperate with similar organizations from various provinces in China, in fields such as constructions, textile industry, construction materials, energy industry, mainly the one based on renewable resources, telecommunications and telecommunication components production, agriculture, mainly organic.
“Given that CCIB activity is focused on European projects implementation, we wish to have joint access to European funds. We are convinced we will succeed to identify multiple cooperation opportunities”, said CCIB President.Currently, through the National Institute of Research Development for Chemistry and Petroleum chemistry ICECHIM, Hubei Province in China is implementing a cooperation project on the development of biological pesticides for organic farming.
ICECHIM has the intention to also expand cooperation with the Chinese side in the field of reducing Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, through the culture of algae for CO2 sequestration or recycling, said ICECHIM director general Sanda Velea. Research institute representative attended the meeting of CCIB representatives with the Chinese delegation.
In the first half of next year, CCIB is to organize an economic mission to China, occasion with which a cooperation agreement will be concluded with the Chamber of Commerce of Hubei Province.
