The Central Election Bureau (BEC) announced on Monday (Dec 1) at 6:00 pm that 99.62 of the votes cast in the polling stations nationwide in Sunday's parliamentary elections have been counted.
The PSD+PC Alliance (the Social Democrats and Conservatives) got 33.09 of the votes for the Deputies' Chamber, followed by the Liberal Democratic Party (PD-L) with 32.34. Next are placed the National Liberals (PNL) with 18.57 and the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR) with 6.18.
In the upper Senate house, the PSD+PC Alliance got 34.12 of the votes, the Democratic Liberals got 33.57, the Liberals 18.75 and the UDMR 6.41.
The other parties got less than 5, said spokesman for BEC Marian Muhulet. He added the votes of 18,036 polling stations had been counted, out of a total of 18.104.
