Cefin Romania, local importer of Iveco commercial vehicles, will invest 20 million euros within the next 5 years in building 10 service centers, with the network’s coverage expected to double, the daily Ziarul Financiar read on November 26.
The company follows an expansion recipe that has already been implemented by auto importers and dealers, which, after the sales boom in 2002-2007, have focused on expanding their servicing capacity, the same source reported.
Cefin currently has a network of 18 sales offices for Iveco trucks and eight servicing centers, with another three to be opened by the yearend. Two centers will be opened in Targu-Mures and Suceava, while an integrated center will be completed in Buzau, which will include sales, as well as having six working stations, informed the daily.
Overall investments of the Cefin group into the post-sales servicing centre have amounted to 20 million euros so far, and the number of employees has exceeded 300. “We currently have 900 contracts underway, with over 100 of them being nationwide contracts with clients from all transportrelated sectors,” Ziarul Financiar cites Ionel Balasa, Cefin’s manager of servicing operations, as saying.
