The Government adopted on November 25 the consolidated budget’s rectification on the current year, announced on November 25 Premier Calin Popescu Tariceanu at the end of the Executive’s meeting.
The Labor Ministry received RON 1.085 billion following this rectification.
“The forecasted deficit, of 2.3%, previously established, remains the same and the reallocation of funds will not have an impact upon the budget deficit, these funds being reallocated for the covering of some budgetary rights”, said Tariceanu.
PM also mentioned that RON 965 million were allocated to the social security programs.
The Executive’s head said that the pension budget was not in need to be supplemented. “We have the needed amounts to pay pensions without problems”, underlined Tariceanu.
Also, the Health Ministry will receive RON 70 million for payments to the staff in the public health care sector, the Ministry of Home Affairs and Administrative Reform will receive RON 33 million also for some staff benefits payment.
PM also announced that the rectification was also aimed at supplementing the local authorities’ budgets, in all the counties and the Capital, as well.
“The total supplementary amount allocated to the local budget is of RON 570 million, destined to financing some spending by the local authorities, respectively the salary raise by 9%, starting with October, of the teaching staff in the pre-university education”, said Tariceanu.
The needed amounts will be secured through redistribution by the Ministry of Education.
The Premier also pointed out that within five days each ministry and public institution, credit authorizer, will communicate in detail to the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) the amounts proposed to be cut.
