Cefin Holding Romania, a specialised supplier of integrated transport services and IVECO commercial vehicle dealer eyes some 375-385 million euros in turnover this year, up by 36-40% from 274.5 million euros in 2007, company managing director Stefano Albarosa announced on December 3.
Cefin Holding has slightly revised its original estimates downwards, from 406 million euros in turnover this year, but it kept the 2010 target of 610 million euros.
Albarosa stressed the last four months had been critical to the activity of the commercial vehicle division and added that the first four months of 2009 would probably see the same development; however, the more tensioned situation in the market would not last too long, he anticipated.
The Cefin Holding operational profit margin (EBIT) stands at 3.5% at present and it is togo up to more than 4% in the next two years.
Although the IVECO vehicle sales of Cefin Holding’s specialised division were up by 6% at the end of H1 from the first half of 2007, the year-end sales – due to the lower activity in the last months – will be closer to the ones in 2007, when the company saw a sale peak.
Cefin Holding began its activity in Romania in 1995 as a dealer of the utility vehicles and trucks of Italian constructor IVECO SpA and afterwards it expanded its operations to Bulgaria and Hungary.
The holding has six divisions – Cefin Commercial Vehicles, which is the biggest IVECO dealer in Romania accounting for 43% of the market; Cefin Automotive dealing in spare parts and tyres; EuroBody (car bodies); 4Bus (buses and coaches); Agroexpert Capital (farming machinery and equipment); Cefin Systems (solutions for auto fleet management). Cefin Real Estate also operates in the Romanian real estate sector.
Cefin Romania on Wednesday awarded a prize to one of its most active clients – transport and distribution company Vlase Impex based in Slobozia (southern Romania), which has purchased more than 400 vehicles of all ranges, of which some 200 vehicles this year alone.
