BNR international reserves reduced by 90 mln euros

Romania’s international reserves have dropped by 90 million euros, standing at 27.22 billion euros as of November 30 this year compared to 27.31 billion euros on October 30 this year, the National Bank of Romania (BNR) informed on December 2.
Inflows in the shape of the modification of the minimum forex reserves made by the lending institutions, operations on the inter-banking market, revenues derived from the administration of the international reserves and others totalled 1.619 billion euros.
 
Outflows accounting for interest and rate payments toward the direct external debt, payments to the European Commission and modifications in the statutory reserves of the credit institutions and other similar organizations were in the amount of 1.709 billion euros.
The gold stock remained at 103.7 tonnes. However, following the developments in the world price of gold, its value is of 2.112 billion euros.
Romania’s international reserves (foreign currencies plus gold) rose to 29.340 billion euros compared to 29.226 billion euros as of November 30 this year.
In December 2008, payments due on public and publicly guaranteed external debt amount to 85 million euros.
