Information in English

Industrial production is to grow this year 3.7% and in Q4 by 0.5% compared to last year, according to the results of a conjectural study conducted by the National Prognosis Commission.

Annual growth of the industrial production is predicted to be based on the advance recorded by some industrial branches which will continue the trend in the first nine months, as well as on other extracting activities (plus 18.6%), power output, transportation and distribution, as well as thermal energy, natural gas and water (plus 14.8%), chemical substances and products (plus 10.3%), medical and optical devices and instruments, watch-making (plus 9.8%), fabrication of construction materials and of other products from non-metallic minerals (plus 8.2%).

Economic agents forecast more accentuated industrial output declines in the case of textile products (minus 21.5%), electrical machines and devices (minus 10.7%), cellulose, paper and paper products (minus 10.5%) and steel products (minus 10%).
In the first nine months, the industrial production grew 4.8% as against the initial estimations of the economic agents, of 6.1%, also based initially on a high demand abroad, later rescinded.
