Romanian college graduates averagely change 5 jobs

23 decembrie 2008

Information in English

Over 80% of the Romanian college graduates think they are to change between two and five employers during their professional career, reads the Millennium’s Generation at Work, a study PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) conducted in 44 countries.
The percentage is significantly higher than in most of the participating countries and in the average sample, 75%, respectively, the Business Standard informs.

Likewise, 84% of the respondents said they preferred developing within the same company.
As for their wishes related to their career, and work climate and terms, the Romanian graduates usually follow the international trends. Despite all this, Romania’s macroeconomic situation strives influencing their opinions on aspects characteristic to present and future employers.
Mainly young graduates expect to work in an office and have fix work hours and never change their employer. The survey suggests that some of the companies should re-assess their strategies aimed at attracting and keeping the young employees.
