Loading ...The parliamentary commissions on budget and finance on Saturday approved the draft state budget for 2009 by a vote of 28 to 8. The draft state budget for 2009 stipulates revenues amounting to 75.7 billion lei (about 18.9 billion euros, 13.07 percent of the GDP) and expenditure amounting to 94.5 billion lei (29.6 billion lei, 16.32 percent of the GDP), with a deficit amounting to 18.819 billion lei (about 4.7 billion euros with an average exchange rate of 4 lei).
The fiscal revenues of the state budget are planned to be 64.8 billion lei (16.2 billion euros), of which 19.93 billion lei (4.9 billion euros) stand for tax on profit, income tax and tax on capital returns, and the receipts form the value added tax are estimated at 44.41 billion lei (11.1 billion euros). The state planned to collect 19.93 billion lei of the tax on the companies' profit, to which one will add 750 million lei (187.5 million euros) in the tax on the profit of the commercial banks and 4.69 billion lei (1.17 billion euros) in tax on the natural persons' income.
As regards budget expenditure, the draft budget provides for staff expenditure amounting to 15.68 billion lei (3.9 billion euros), expenditure for goods and services, 4.429 billion lei (1.1 billion euros), interest expenditure, 5.2 billion lei (1.3 billion euros), subsidies, 4.26 billion lei, transfers for the public administration, 11.79 billion lei (2.9 billion euros), social work expenditure, 17.86 billion lei (4.45 billion euros), other transfers, 14 billion lei (3.5 billion euros).
