Minister Stanisoara attends NATO defence ministers’ informal meeting

Romanian Defence Minister Mihai Stanisoara is attending an informal meeting of the NATO defence ministers being held in Krakow, Poland, on Thursday and Friday, the defence ministry said in a release. The talks focus on the progress made on transforming the Alliance's military capabilities in line with the agenda set at the NATO Summit in Bucharest and at the latest informal meetings of the defence ministries held in London and Budapest.
 
The ministers will also examine aspects related to the military operations conducted by the Alliance in Afghanistan and Western Balkans. The agenda of the Krakow gathering also includes meetings of the ministerial committees NATO-Georgia and NATO-Ukraine meant to boost the dialogue with the two partner states, the release said.
