President Basescu meets new ambassadors of Bulgaria and Vietnam

President Traian Basescu received on Wednesday, at Cotroceni Palace, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria, Valentin Radomirski, on the occasion of the presentation of letters of credence, and the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Romania, Nguyen Quang Chien, on the occasion of his official accreditation, the Presidential Administration informs in a release. Within the talks, following the ceremony of presentation of the letters of credence, the head of state wished success to the Bulgarian Ambassador in his activity in Romania.
 
The two officials made a short survey of the Romanian-Bulgarian bilateral cooperation, remarking with satisfaction the development of the commercial exchanges in the past two years, said the release. As well, Romania's President voiced hope that both states will continue to focus their efforts within the European Union on the projects aimed at ensuring the energy security and on cooperation in the Black Sea region.
 
Within the meeting with Nguyen Quang Chien, the head of state underlined Romania's interest in the consolidation of bilateral relations with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam both at the level of economic exchanges, and at the cultural and educational levels. The Ambassador of S.R. of Vietnam expressed confidence in the potential of cooperation between the two states, as well as in the development of bilateral partnerships and economic exchanges during his mandate.
 
According to the release, the new Ambassador also voiced trust that the excellent cooperation between Romania and the S.R. of Vietnam within the United Nations Organization and the International Organization of Francophonie will continue in the following period. President Basescu gave assurances to the new Vietnamese Ambassador of Romanian authorities' support in fulfilling his mandate in Bucharest and wished him success in the activity in Romania.
