Loading ...The intention to organize several events in both Romania and China, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Romanian-Chinese diplomatic ties, was highlighted on the occasion of a new round of consultations between the Romanian and Chinese Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) informed in a release. Romanian Foreign Minister Cristian Diaconescu welcomed the Chinese delegation headed by Wu Hongpo, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China. There were held consultations, led by the Romanian Secretary of State Doru Costea.
On the same occasion, both parties underlined the signification of the 60th anniversary, on October 5, since the establishment of the bilateral relations between the two countries. Thus, the Romanian side showed that, ever since the establishment of the bilateral relations, Romania and the People's Republic of China have showed convergence of opinions, with the bilateral relations having been confirmed and capitalized on a periodical basis, regardless of the historical evolutions, reads the MAE release.
The Chinese side appreciated the good bilateral and multilateral cooperation with Romania, highlighted the consistence of the permanent dialogue between the authorities of the two countries, as well as the mutual support granted within various international organizations. There was also evaluated, at the consultations, the current stage of the bilateral relations in most of the cooperation fields, and there were submitted proposals meant to contribute to the development and intensification of such cooperation.
Moreover, there took place an ample exchange of opinions on such major challenges the international community needs to deal with, especially the financial crisis. The two sides said there is need for cooperation to be consolidated at the multilateral level, and a common solution be found in managing the global problems and also such problems of a mutual interest, the release also said.
