Information in English

Transport ministers from Romania and Bulgaria, Radu Berceanu and Petar Mutafciev, have laid on Tuesday, in Calafat (south, on the Danube), the basis of a joint project with the objective to improve navigation conditions on the shared sector of the Danube. The Bulgarian side started approaches linked to the establishment of the European Territorial Cooperation Group (ETCG), a form through which EU supports joint projects aimed at environment protection on the Danube.

Transport ministers from Romania and Bulgaria established that ETCG headquarters would function in Romania, going to take the decision, on joint accord, on the functioning of this entity. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Radu Berceanu met on Tuesday in Calafat his Bulgarian counterpart Petar Mutafciev and the two officials discussed ways to speed up construction works at Calafat-Vidin bridge.
