The situation of submitted, approved and contracted projects, based on European funds, in the last two weeks, is discussed by the Inter-ministerial committee for the Community funds management, gathered on Tuesday at Victoria Palace (Government headquarters), chaired by Premier Emil Boc. On this occasion, Minister of Public Finance Gheorghe Pogea made a presentation of the existent situation on February 25 compared to February 12 as regards projects submission and approval.
He pointed out that, two weeks ago, projects in the value of 51.6 billion lei were forwarded, on Feb. 25 they amounting to 53.5 billion lei. "We received a supplementary application of 1.9 billion lei. That means 3.7 percent, a significant amount", said Pogea. As for the approved projects, Finance Minister stressed that, on Feb. 12, their value reached 6.92 billion lei and, on Feb. 25, 7.3 billion lei. "We had 6.78 billion lei for contracted projects on Feb. 12 and 7.07 billion lei on Feb. 25", Pogea underlined.
