"The scrap bonus worth 2,5000 euros in the German market has strongly influenced the Dacia sales on this market. Despite that, we cannot make an estimate of the sales higher than of a few months, " said the official of Automobile Dacia. In addition, also for meeting the requirements in the western markets, the local maker will raise the production of Sandero, that will reach a market share worth 50 percent of the local production, compared with the current 30 percent. So, according to Fourmont, of the 1,200 cars made by Dacia, there will be 610 Sandero ones, while 360 cars will be Logan MCV.
Last year, the first three markets for Dacia cars were Romania (more than 84,000 units), France (over 43,000 ones), and Germany (25,500 ones) but at the beginning of this year, the situation got reversed, with the sales in the two markets in Western Europe being twice higher than those in Romania. The upward demand has made officials of the Renault group decide a rise in the local production from 1,085 cars a day at the beginning of this year to 1,200 cars starting on March 9.
The demand of cars from Germany has prompted the group to raise not only the production of the plant in Pitesti, south, but also that in Flins, France, in order to cover the orders of the Clio, Twingo, Sandero and Logan models, said the operational manager of the auto car maker Patrick Pelata, daily Evenimentul Zilei writes.
