The government has approved, in a resolution, the budget necessary for the preparation, organization and holding of the election for the members in Romania of the European Parliament.

For making the expenses necessary for the good holding and preparation of the europarliamentary elections, increased were the budgets of the Ministry of Administration and the Interior, the Standing Electoral Authority, the Service of Special Telecommunications , the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE), the General Secretariat of the Government, the National Statistics Institute (INS), from the fund of budget reserve at the disposal of the Government.
The resolution also reads that the carrying out of the expenses for the organization and holding of the euro-parliamentary election, as part of the budget approved, will be made by the public employers, with the periodical informing of a commission for transparency. The commission will be made up from a representative of each of the parliamentary political parties, two representatives of the non-governmental organizations and two representatives of the Romanian press club.
