The cooperation between Romania and Norway, the financing mechanisms in the European Economic Area, the measures to fight the economic and financial crisis and the energy issue were the main subjects approached by Romanian Secretary of State for European Affairs with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) Bogdan Mazuru during the working visit he paid to Norway over March 9-11.
According to MAE, during his visit to Oslo, Mazuru met his Norwegian counterpart Elizabeth Walaas, Secretary of State with the Norwegian Defence Ministry Espen Barth Eide , Secretary of State with the Ministry of Oil and Energy Robin Martin Kass as well as Gunn Ovesen, Innovation Norway president.
The visit also had an academic component, with the Romanian Secretary of State meeting Geir Flikke, deputy manager of the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI). On the same occasion, they discussed the launch of the comparative study between the Black Sea and the Barents Sea to be jointly made by NUPI and the National Defence University.
