Loading ...The Days of the Romanian Film started in Chisinau, on Monday. The event, organized by the Pro Bassarabia and Bukovina Cultural Association in partnership with the mayoralty of Chisinau Municipality, will show five films directed by Sergiu Nicolaescu devoted to several periods of Romania's history, starting with the Dacians.
'We wanted to present the development of this film director from his first film - „The Dacians” till his latest one „The Survivor” launched in 2008, but also to go through a couple of stages of Romania's history, namely the Dacians, Michael the Brave, the interwar time,' said the chairwoman of the Pro Bassarabia and Bukovina Cultural Association's National Council Gabriela Elenici. It is for the first time that Bassarabia and Bukovina Cultural Association organizes the days of the Romanian film in Chisinau.
The Association plans to stage a similar project in autumn and present films made by a director whose name will be made public later.
