The Government has an anti-crisis plan, drawn up and adopted at the same time with the state budget for 2009, PM Emil Boc said Monday before the plenary sitting of Parliament.
"The Govt's anti-crisis plan has been generated by two realities – one of the foreign economic crisis and a reality of Romania's economic situation   at the end of 2008. The crisis is a global reality that has not hit rock bottom yet and which has an extremely brutal path…

The crisis has not started from here, but for many Romanians that does not matter. The crisis entered their houses and became an unwanted part of their lives," Boc explained.
The PM reminded that, as regards the domestic situation, Romanian  in  2008 registered economic growth of 7.8 percent but ended the year in a 5.2 deficit.
"In other words, the previous government,  instead of taking advantage of the economic growth and save money for difficult times, has spent as much as they could and left us is debt," Boc explained.
