Loading ...Hilton international hotel plans to bring to Bucharest one of the two luxury brands of the company, Conrad or Waldorf Astoria and to expand Hilton brand to main cities such as Brasov (center), Cluj Napoca (north-west) and Timisoara (west), announced Adela Cristea, development manager of Hilton Hotels Europe & Africa.
„This year, Hilton will open a second hotel in Romania, in Sibiu. The company examines the likelihood to bring to Bucharest one of the two luxury brands of the company, Conrad and Waldorf Astoria, as well as the other company brands, Hilton or Doubletree, to main cities such as Timisoara, Brasov and Cluj”, said Adela Cristea.
The company representative underlined that, in the years to come, the company could open Doubletree four-star hotels and Garden Inn (3 star) in cities such as Oradea (west), Arad (west), Constanta (south-east), Galati (east) and Iasi (north-east). Currently, the Hilton brand is present in Bucharest through Hilton Athenee Palace Bucharest and, in April, Hilton Sibiu (center) is to be inaugurated.
The hotel with 115 rooms is placed near the natural monument Dumbrava Forest and is just three kilometers away from the city's downtown, having good connections with important cities in Europe through Sibiu International Airport , as well as Sibiu Railway Station. Hilton Bucharest could see this year a 10 percent decline in the occupancy degree, compared to 68 percent in 2008 and of the Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR) following the crisis effects, but it will attempt to entice clients with a more flexible tariff policy.
