The Social Democratic Party (PSD, in power) has to give a coherent answer given the economic and financial crisis, the PSD President Mircea Geoana said Wednesday, adding that the Social Democrats' options favor a medium and long term solution and not a short term one.
Geoana, in the opening of the PSD's National Executive Committee meeting, said Romania has to face three crises: an economic and financial one, a structural one, strictly related to insufficiently brave reforms and the budget crisis. Geoana pointed out that Romania needs solutions to overcome recession and that the Social Democrats are loyal to the Government, in conditions of equal partnership with the Democratic Liberal Party (PD-L, in power).
„When these conditions are not observed, the party has the right and obligation to react accordingly, but at the moment the country needs solutions,” Geoana explained.
