Romania has the advantage to offer a variety of tourist destinations , being the country where every holiday dream can be fulfilled, stated on Thursday Minister of Tourism Elena Udrea, in the opening of the 21st edition of Bucharest Tourism Fair.
In the Minister's opinion, tourism can help economy in such a crisis period. "I am glad we can implement holiday vouchers this year still and I hope that tourists will take part in two events organized by the Ministry of Tourism during Easter celebrations, respectively "Light on the sea shore" and "Eastern in Bucovina", by using the respective holiday vouchers", underlined Elena Udrea.
The Minister of Tourism announced the operators in this field that 80 percent of the ministry's budget will be allocated to investments into infrastructure. As well, the Minister announced that spa tourism is a national priority, Romania having the needed potential to become a major destination. Participating companies in this fair come from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Great Britain, Poland, Romania, Turkey and Hungary, the internationalization degree of this event being of 26 percent.
Cyprus, Greece, Spain, Turkey and Tunis are present at official level. Almost 190 companies participate as a first in this edition, joining the traditional exhibitors.
At the same time with Romania's Tourism Fair, an Expo Sport and Leisure exhibition is organized – and international fair of sports and leisure products, articles and equipment , as well as boats and Kidex, an international exhibition of products and clothing for children, toys and games.
