Romanian-French consultations in European affairs field

State secretary for European affairs Bogdan Mazuru has paid a working visit to France over March 18-19 this year, informs a release received from the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE).
The programme of this visit included consultations with Bruno le Maire, State secretary for European affairs with French Foreign Ministry and Gilles Briatta, Head of the General Secretariat for European Affairs, as well as a meeting with Hubert Haenel, President of the European Affairs Commission in the French Senate.
 
Talks were aimed at current issues on the European agenda, with accent on the economic and financial situation, as well as aspects regarding Union's relations with its neighborhood – Eastern Partnership, Black Sea Synergy, West Balkans.
The strategic partnership concluded between the two states on Feb. 4, 2008 was also evoked and the way the Road map on the implementation of this Partnership contributed to the development of  bilateral relations,  its  updating  going  to  confer  a  new  dimension  to  the  Romanian-French cooperation in the upcoming period.
